Denis L. Rettew

Denis Rettew, age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15th with his family by his side. Denis was born on March 20, 1941 to Landis and Elizabeth (Strzalkowski) Rettew in Teaneck, NJ He was a 1963 graduate of Syracuse University and went on to be a respected executive at Exxon Corporation.

Denis is survived by Rosemary, his loving wife of 59 beautiful years; his children Gregory and wife Kara and Bradley and wife Lyn; as well as his adoring grandchildren, Olivia, Joseph, Ethan, Emilia and Connor. Denis is also survived by his sister Mary Murray, his loving brothers and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by his brother Douglas and surviving wife Sandra.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 19th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ

A mass celebrating Denis’ life and faith will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 11:00 am in St. John’s the Baptist R.C. Church located in Hillsdale, New Jersey.
