Patricia "Patty" Joy Yamazaki

Born Patricia Joy Yamazaki to Peter T. and Joy C. Yamazaki at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Los Angeles on January 20, 1952. Patty lived in Los Angeles until the age of eight when her family moved to Huntington Beach in 1960. She graduated from Huntington Beach High School with the class of 1970. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Chico with a nursing degree. Patty had a career as a Registered Nurse for most of her working years. Patty was a resident of Huntington Beach for fifty-six years.

Patty was a devoted member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church for over thirty years. She was both faithful in worship services and in various other ministries and activities of the church. Patty especially enjoyed being involved in the Women's Group at Grace. Her love for Jesus and her joy in the Lord were reflected in the way she interacted with visitors and members of all ages on a weekly basis. Her heartfelt prayers were a blessing to all associated with Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Patty lived up to her middle name JOY. She found joy in the simplest things in life. She loved the beach and growing up near the ocean. She had a soft spot for children and animals and they for her. And she certainly spread joy to all around her.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; Peter and Joy and her sister, Barbara. She is survived by her brother; Greg Yamazaki, sisters; Mary and Debbie Yamazaki, Andrea (Kevin) Yamazaki Williamson, nephew; Ian Williamson and many cousins and other relatives.

All services for Patricia Joy Yamazaki will be held at Westminster Memorial Park.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Main Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Main Chapel with a Graveside Service to follow in the Garden of Meditation.

A Celebration of Life Reception will follow the Graveside Service from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the Westminster Memorial Park Hospitality Room.
