God blessed Willie and Lillian Weaver on May 5, 1962 with a son they named Michael Dwayne Weaver. Michael was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He was baptized as Catholic. Michael attended local Los Angeles schools playing basketball as his favorite sport and pass time. He played basketball for University Highschool and graduated in 1981. Following high school, Michael went off to play basketball for University of California Santa Cruz and studied Political Science. In 1985, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from UC Santa Cruz College of Oakes in Political Science.
After completing his undergraduate studies Michael began his career with Los Angeles County. Working in various areas from Department of Social Services to Department of Probation. Michael loved being around children and helping neglected and trouble youth. This is a pleasure Michael discovered about himself over time. He took a few years away from Los Angeles and moved to Minneapolis Minnesota as well as Prescot Arizona. While in these two states, Michael worked in school districts helping the youth.
Michael returned to Southern California working for LA County Probation. He enjoyed sports primarily basketball and spending time with family, especially during the holidays. Michael took a special liking to his twin cousins Laila and Malia. Blessing them with his undivided attention and love. The twins brought Michael so much joy.
As a young boy to an adult, Michael captured people at hello with a smile that gleamed, hazel eyes that glowed and his height turned any room. Michael had a lot of heart to give to this world as well.
On the evening of January 1st, 2020, the Lord called on Michael to come home. God said his earthly work is done… Michael is needed back in Heaven. Michael is preceded in death by his father Willie Weaver and survived by his mother Lillian Joyce Weaver and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We love and miss you Michael.
