George Robert Boulton

George R. Boulton passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 10th, 2011, at Huntington Beach Hospital, California. He was born June 17, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio to Dora Naomi Gray and George Robert Boulton Senior.

He joined the Army in 1956 and was stationed in Hawaii then Okinawa, Japan for several years. After returning he went on to work at Autonetics in Anaheim, California as a lead man making minuteman missiles. He was hired as a California Highway Patrol Cadet on August 15, 1966, and retired 24 years later. We are all very proud of his service.

After being retired for a short while, he got a job at one of his favorite places, Disneyland. He worked in security for 10 years and retired yet again from “the Happiest Place on Earth”. Not being one to sit still long, he started a company, Family Estate Sales, with his wife Lynda, sister Judy, and his daughter Coleen. Up until his last days he was still selling at antique swap meets. He loved the social aspect of the antique business and all of the friends he made over the years.

George took great pride in his garden and Plumerias, and was so proud to be a featured stop for the tour for the Plumeria Society. In recent years he travelled to many places, but his favorite vacation was cruising to Alaska which he was lucky enough to do three times.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Lynda Rae Boulton. He was predeceased by his sister Billie Sue Arenas and survived by his sisters Barbara Boulton & Judy Vanasse. He leaves a living legacy in his three daughters and their husbands: Coleen and Rudy Hernandez, Tamara and Craig Powers, & Beckie and William Howell, as well as, his two step-sons Tim & Mike Patton and their families. He was cherished by his grandchildren: Rudy Hernandez Jr., Marissa Powers, Sean Patton, Alissa Hernandez & Naomi Howell and will be missed by his many nieces, nephew, relatives & friends.

We will miss his sweet smile, playful teasing, his fabulous sense of humor, and his sometimes inappropriate jokes. He was always the life of the party and could make anyone smile. He was truly one of a kind.
