Chuong Ngoc Hoang passed away in Fountain Valley Regional Hospital on July 31, 2019, at the age of 72. He served in the Republic of South Vietnam Airborne Division as a paratrooper from 1968-1972, when he was severely wounded in Quang Tri battles. Mr. Hoang spent most of his life as a handyman, always ready and more than willing to help family, friends, and neighbors; and was an active member and volunteer of his Vietnamese community in Westminster. He will be greatly missed for his warm smile and energy, unique sense of humor and immense care for others. He is survived by his three daughters; Han Hoang, Mimi Hoang, and Van Hoang-Ta; and a granddaughter, Kylie Rattanavongsinh. Mr. Hoang is also survived by three sisters, five brothers, and several cousins.
Respects can be paid during his cremation at Peek Funeral Home at 7801 Bolsa Ave in Westminster, CA on August 6, 2019 at 8:30am - 9:15am. Per the family’s request, they will not be receiving flower arrangements or donations.
For family and friends in Washington, DC area, weekly praying sessions will be every Sunday starting August 4 until September 15. General praying session starts at 10am, and praying session for Chuong Hoang will begin at 12pm, at Chùa Hoa Nghiêm at 9105 Backlick Rd in Fort Belvoir, VA.
His remains will join his father, mother, and brother on August 17 during a private ceremony.
