He was a proud resident of Agoura Hills since 1971 and became an integral member of the City of Agoura Hills Senior Recreation Program as part of its Senior Advisory Board Committee.
He grew up in San Pedro, attending Banning High School in his freshman and sophomore years. His family moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in the summer of '46 and he graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1948. At the age of 18, shortly after graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force overseas until 1952, becoming a Staff Sargent. He served one week short of four years and was honorably discharged. He would support Veteran's-related organizations for years to come.
Shortly after returning to the States, he married Nancy Lee Dickerson on June 7, 1952 at Fort Ethan Allen Chapel in Burlington, Vermont and they remained married for more than fifty years until her passing in May of 2003.
He went on to attend college at Long Beach State University, then Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
As an aerospace engineer, he worked at Litton Industries (Guidance and Control Systems) most of his career and also had a brief stint at McDonnell Douglas. In all, it was a career that he enjoyed for 36 years until he retired at the age of 62 in 1992.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing golf and being active in his community.
As an avid runner, he ran upwards of 20,000 miles in his lifetime.
Father. Son. Husband. Grandfather. Friend. Coach. Mentor. Co-worker. He wore all the hats extremely well. He loved his family.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey D. Albright, daughter-in-law Kathryn M. Albright and grandchildren Avery and Evan Albright, all of Alpharetta, Georgia.
