A native to Westlake, Butch was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired member of I.B.E.W. Local 861 with over 40 years of service and a Legionnaire of Post 370 in Westlake, La. Butch loved being outside, raising 3 boys, fishing, at the ballpark with grandchildren and great grandchildren or simply sitting on his back porch having a cold one.
Survivors include a Sister, Katherine Prater of Lake Charles, Sons, Chad Brown of Westlake, Chance and Tina Brown of Sulphur, Grandchildren, Emily Hollier and husband Adrian of Moss Bluff and Jake Brown of Sulphur, Great Grandchildren, Thomas, Isabelle and Hannah Hollier and Sunshine his dog.
He is preceded in death by his Son, Cade Brown, Parents, Jake and Dolly Brown, Brothers, E.J. Brown and Kenneth Brown, and Sister, Evelyn May.
A Memorial Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake, Friday, August 12, 2022, from 4 PM until 9 PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11 AM at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Rev. Jenesh Joseph will officiate. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
