Bruce was a lifelong resident of Westlake and was a 1971 graduate of Westlake High School. He retired from the City of Westlake in the Water Works Division.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Bruce Fontenot, Jr. and Stacey of Vinton and Brett Fontenot and wife Laura of Lake Charles; four granddaughters, Amberly Fontenot, Alex Fontenot, Cheyanne Fontenot, and Destiny Fontenot; a great grandson, Carter; a brother, Bryan Fontenot of Sulphur; and a sister, Dianne Darbonne and husband Dan of Moss Bluff, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Martha Fontenot; and a brother, Brad Fontenot.
A graveside service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake for family and friends, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
