Bonita “Bonnie” Anderson, age 67 of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was born on September 10, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to parents, Johnny Edward Kimbrough & Kathleen Kimbrough Venable.
Bonnie was raised in Westlake, and graduated from Westlake High School class of 1974. She had a love for music, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, campfires, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her grandkids. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 370
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Seth Anderson, and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 41 years, Willis Anderson, her daughters; Jonnie Ardoin, and Brandy Trahan, her grandchildren, Dax Anderson, Westyn Ardoin, Presleigh Ardoin (Nicolas), Kamryn Mouton (Davin), Cody Trahan (Makenna), Channing Trahan (Lexi), Tyler Mere and wife Summer, Levi Dixon, Tyler Trahan and wife Jasmine, her great-grandchildren; Nolan, Stella and Trenton, her sisters; Wanda Sue Bratcher, Debbie Kimbrough, Teresa Jordan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews (including great).
The family will welcome the public for visitation Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will resume Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 9am until time of funeral service officiated by Kelly Craft at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers for services are Westyn Ardoin, Dax Anderson, Tyler Mere, Cody Trahan, Channing Trahan, Shane Terro, Nicholas Pitre, Chris Scalisi, and Mike Ardoin.
