Terry was the 2nd of 4 children. He was very proud of his name. His first name, Terry, was his mother’s last name. His middle name, Zaner, was his father’s name. Terry graduated from South High School. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Terry spent much of his time working with computers and audiovisual technologies. He could be frequently found working on and making copies of family genealogy, Latter-day Saint prophets, Presidents of The United States, and other famous people. Terry participated in Cub Scouts and the Boy Scout program with his mother, Orpha, serving as Den Leader. He used his imagination and wrote several short stories about different places and people that he titled, “Dreams.”
Among the places he worked were Columbus Center, Deseret Industries, and Hugger Mugger. Terry’s trademark greeting to everyone he met was, “Have a safe one,” and he found it made others smile, which made him happy.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Neil. He is survived by his older sister, Carolyn Bird; younger sister, Brenda Hinkley and her husband Richard. Terry will be buried in the Alpine City Cemetery near his parents and younger brother, Neil Alan Ross.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00AM at Alpine City Cemetery. There will be an open mic to share memories, thoughts and experiences about Terry.
“Have a safe one.”
