Our forever wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Jodi Sherrill Howard passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. She was welcomed by her loving parents, Samuel and Rella Sherrill. She was blessed with two older sisters, Tami and Lori, and a special baby brudder, David.
Jodi attended Kearns High School where she was a student body officer and a proud member of the madrigals. She was the heart of her class.
Soon afterwards she met her handsome hairdog husband and 10 days later they were engaged. On April 8th, 1983 they were sealed to each other in the Salt Lake Temple. After years of infertility, they were beyond thrilled to welcome their son Brad and daughter Kylee. They instantly became her greatest treasure.
Jodi was the mom that everyone felt like was their own. All the neighborhood and school friends found themselves at her house to eat, play games, and hang out. Everyone always felt welcome. She worked at the middle school and high school as a lunch cashier, where you would often find her paying for kids lunches and chatting with those who were sitting alone.
Jodi was incredibly giving. She was always finding someone in need to help provide them with anything and everything. She thoroughly enjoyed giving to others. She also loved planning parties and special occasions. She would go through every detail and make them extravagant events.
One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother. Oaklee, Harper, Nixon, and Brecken made her world go round. She loved dancing with them in the kitchen, singing songs, and spoiling them endlessly.
Losing her is a pain beyond repair. All those who knew her will feel a tremendous loss of light.
Mom, as we walk through this life without you, we know you will be with us through every game, recital, heartbreak, and joy. You will always be in the details of who we are. We love you, Dad loves you, your grandkids love you!
We’re so glad you’re mine!
She lives on through her husband Randy, son Brad (Shacari), daughter Kylee (Zachary), and grandchildren Oaklee, Harper, Nixon, and Brecken. Her sisters Tami (Weston), Lori (Brett), and brother David (Rachel). Along with anyone and everyone she came in contact with.
