James Boyd Barker

James left this world doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle into the sunset. James Boyd Barker, 60, of West Valley, Ut, died on October 23, 2023.

James was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 31, 1962, to Agnes Elaine Barker and James Boyd Barker.

He will always be remembered for how much he loved to ride his bike and we will think of him whenever we hear the rumble of an engine. We couldn’t have asked for a better father, son, and brother, we’ll miss him every day and although he has left this world, he will forever be in our hearts. As he would always say, “ You can call me anything, just don’t call me late for lunch!”

James was preceded in death by his father James Boyd Barker, and his brother David Todd Barker.

He leaves behind his mother Agnes Elaine Barker, his son Matthew James Barker, his daughter Brandi Barker Dorantes, son in law Allan Dorantes, grandchildren Nivea Betrice Dorantes, Agnes Destiny Dorantes, Avery Lynn Dorantes, sisters RuthAnn (Jeff) Morrison, Agnes Kimberly (Steve) Koen, and Peggy (Barker) Pace along with his nephews Michael Barker, Steven Cole and Dusty Cole.

A viewing will be held, November 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM at Valley View Funeral Home 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120
