KLEIN- Marilyn R. (nee Pletscher) of West Seneca, NY. September 25, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Charles N.; loving mother of Cynthia J., Bruce C., Joel A. and Carol L. (Lisa S. Shall); cherished grandmother of Jessica M.; survived by nieces and nephews. Affectionately known as 'Mar' to her family and friends, she was involved in many clubs and sports throughout high school. Cheerleading and Majorettes were among her favorites. Upon graduation in business studies, as the Executive Secretary to the V.P. of Blue Cross/Shield, she was held in the highest regard for her talents and dedication. Marilyn married the 'boy next door' in July 1957 and later turned her full attention to raising their 4 children with endless love, nurturance and devotion. She instilled these values deeply in each of her children. Very involved in many church, Sunday School and community activities throughout her life, Marilyn always focused on helping others with her tender ways. Once her children were grown, she resumed her career working to assist her husband Charles' business and later as an Administrative Secretary for the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, a position she flourished in until her retirement. They enjoyed many summers together with friends at their place on the lake near Snyder Beach. After his passing, Marilyn wintered in Florida for numerous years. She had many wonderful friends who joined her in golf, swimming and her much loved sessions of yoga on the beach. As a very proud grandmother, Marilyn also showered endless love, nurturance and devotion on her beloved granddaughter, helping to raise her over all of the years with much laughter, her greatest joy. She also cherished her very special 85 year relationship with her kindergarten friends who remained close throughout their entire lives. Mar will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Family will be present Sunday 2-5 PM at HOY FUNERAL HOME, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca, where a Funeral Service will be held Monday 11 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
