Charles G. Smith "Charlie" of West Seneca, NY entered into rest November 29, 2024; beloved husband of 50 years to Bernice (nee Kuerzdoerfer); devoted father of Evan (Ariel Yelen) Smith and Abigail Smith; loving son of the late Louis and Betty Smith; dear brother of Darcy (William) Greenfield, Maureen (Paul) Child, Elizabeth (Noe`) Rangel, Timothy Smith, Kathleen (Dean) Abbondanza, Meghan Singer, the late Thomas Smith and Francis Smith; also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit HOY FUNERAL HOME, 3855 Seneca St. West Seneca on Saturday December 7 from 2 - 5:30 where a prayer service will immediately follow. Charlie was a proud Vietnam-era veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He gave three decades of service to the New York State Department of Transportation. Charlie will always be remembered for his love of nature and animals, especially Chico and Oscar.
