Michele was born in Briey, France, to Alima Ida Fannier and Alphonse Sidos on February 1st, 1944. She married David A. Stanley on October 19, 1966 in Etain, France. She worked as a volunteer at multiple Elementary Schools, was an assistant for elderly people, and was a supportive wife for a U.S. Air Force military husband on various bases around the world. While she was not a veteran herself, she aided in the effort alongside her traveling husband. She was awarded many certificates of honor not just for volunteering in school, but from the U.S. Air Force for her diligent services in supporting her husband and other veterans. One such certificate was given to her upon her husband's retirement: an official Certificate of Appreciation for “her own unselfish, faithful, and devoted service” and her “support, involvement, and sacrifices during [her] husband’s many years of service”.
Michele is preceded in death by her husband David A. Stanley and her parents, Alima Ida Fannier and Alphonse Sidos, her stepfather Paul Tucconi, and a baby sister who died during World War II.
Michele is survived by her sister Mireille Rossi, her children Kelly Valenti and Gilles Aru, and grandchildren Maria Valenti, Angela Valenti, Max Aru, Elise Aru and great-great grandchildren Marius Aru-Charles and Iris Aru-Charles, and close extended family Guillermo Valenti, Oreste Valenti and his wife, Ada Valenti, Waldina Valenti, Terri Forbes, Linda Long, Melissa Long, Dominique Rossi and Natalie Rossie, and Carol Aru.
The family of Michele Stanley wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Jeanette Williams and her husband, Julie Baird and her husband, Joan Bohrer, Leita Stoddart, Thais Villanueva, and Gladys Harris, Tom Irby, and her best friend Sherie. Each person held a special place in Michele’s life, providing many long-lasting, joyful moments, which made her happy and complete throughout her years.
