Janice Egnor

May 8, 1934 – December 3, 2021

With a heavy heart, I am informing you of the passing of my Sister, Janice Cecelia Egnor, on December 3, 2021 in her Florida home with her long time care giver, Analie Cyriaque, by her side. Janice was born May 8, 1934; she attended St Ann’s Catholic School in West Palm Beach from First Grade through High School, graduating in 1952. In the fall, she attended the College of St Elizabeth’s in New Jersey for 2 years before transferring to Tobe-Coburn school of Fashion Design in New York City.

Janice was employed by several stores in New York, including Saks 5th Avenue, before beginning her extensive career with Sears as Fashion coordinator of Shoes and young junior fashions. She also sat on the Fashion Board of Sears. She designed the covers for all the famous Sears Fashion Catalogs over the years. Janice’s career took her all over the world twice a year resulting in her nephews & niece being fashionably clothed year round.

Janice is survived by her sister Dorothy Matyskiel of Lake Worth, her niece Marian Shulha of Pace FL, her nephews, John Matyskiel of PBG and Robert Matyskiel (Lori) of Lake Worth, her great nieces and nephews Cortney Shulha of Florida, Travis Shulha, of Georgia, Kaitlin Williams (James) of Alabama, Robert Matyskiel II of Florida & one great-great niece Kora Jane Williams of Alabama.

A visitation for Janice will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 Lantana Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.

A graveside will occur Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
