Elder (Dr.) Geraldine C. Harris was born on December 15, 1941 to the late Washington C. Chapman and Dolly E. Chapman in Irvington, GA. At the age of 5, the family relocated to Belle Glade, Florida where they remained throughout her formative years with her eventually embarking on a multifaceted educational journey encompassing graduation from Lake Shore High School (1961) to her ultimately obtaining a PhD in Evangelism & Ministry from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary (what year?).
Elder Harris was honored to have been employed by the Rosenwald Elementary School under the supervision of Mr. Getchrell Singleton as her first job in the field of education at the start of her professional career, and subsequent marrying the love of her life and relocating to Riviera Beach, Florida, she accepted employment in the supervisory capacity with Palm Beach State College (Palm Beach Gardens Campus), and after a short-lived hiatus, she eventually resumed active employment in the administrative capacity with the Early Childhood Program (Lake Worth Campus) where she was working at the time of her transition having impactfully amassed a 30+ year career of dedicated service displaying a passion for God, humanity, education and community.
Elder Harris indisputably loved the Lord, she gave her life to Christ with a dedicated mind and heart, and she remained on the battlefield during his work while faithfully honoring the call on her life until her passing under the spiritual leadership and guidance of Bishop Oscar & Pastor Diane Lewis at the Faith Deliverance Church of God (Riviera Beach, Florida). She thoroughly enjoyed each opportunity afforded to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and may her devoted evangelism and ministry centered on Godly doctrine, love, hope and salvation speak now and forevermore.
