THOMAS, Elizabeth Hogan, 96 years old of Ormond Beach & West Palm Beach, FL, died on Friday, May 20, 2016. Elizabeth was born in Houlton, Maine on November 11, 1919 to Joseph Edward and Mary (Frost Hall) Hogan. After graduating from high school where she participated in many sports including tennis, she went on to become a registered nurse and served in World War II in Germany as an Army 1st Lieutenant. When the war was over she settled in West Palm Beach, FL where she met and married Byron Fleming Thomas in June 1948, who preceded her in death in 1999. Elizabeth is survived by her six children; Byron F. Thomas, Jr. (wife Sissy) of Palm Beach, FL., Kevin H. Thomas of Hutchinson Island, FL., Erin Dowling (husband Danny) of Ormond Beach, FL., Karen T. Cronin (husband Paul) of Advance, NC., Jayne Johnson of Ormond Beach, FL., and Sean J. Thomas of Jupiter, FL.; twelve grandchildren – Byron & Fielder Thomas, Maginess, Jarrod & Brock Dowling, Megan Cronin & Lauren Cronin Dues, Katie & Kinsley Johnson, Sean, Jordan & Kelly Thomas; six great-grandchildren; a beloved niece, Geri Thomas Barker and nephew, Bruce Thomas, Jr. Elizabeth will be loved and missed so much by her family and everyone who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
