Edith Andersen Harris

Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at her home of 74 years in West Palm Beach, FL surrounded by all her children at the blessed age of 94 on Friday, September 23, 2016.

She graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1940 and Married Charles Russell Harris in 1941. They were married for 52 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches. She was an award winning member of the Garden Club, a Life Master Duplicate Bridge Player, and an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1993, by her son William Andersen (Bill) Harris in 2002, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Andersen in 1953, also a brother Einar R. Andersen, sisters Ingrid A. Eckler and Selma E.V. Andersen.

Survivors include Sons Charles C. (Paula) Harris, Robert K. (Gail) Harris, Daughters Betty H. (Steve) Modell, Mary H. (Dave) DeWald; eight Grandchildren, Martin E. (Elena) Murphy, Mary E. Murphy, Diana M. (John) Hundley, William B. Harris, Robert R. (Sarah) Harris, James H. (Stephanie) Harris, Jacqueline J. Tate, and Christopher C. (Jennifer) Harris.

She is also survived by twelve Great Grandchildren, Kevin, Tyler, Ella and Harper Collins Harris, Cole and Piper Fendrich, Matthew and Ryan Tate, Mary Frances, Caroline, and Jack Hundley, Brooke and Briggs Harris, and also two Step Great Grandchildren, Alexa and Christian Valencia.

Funeral Services will be held at The United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
