A Letter To My Queen,

Ma I want to thank you for the love you have shown me and the unconditional love you have shown others. You're the best mother anyone could ever ask for. Mommy and Daddy, both of you showed us how to love one another and how to stick together no matter what. Just like you always say "Everybody can't be a Ward." Mommy, you were always there to give a helping hand to anyone that crossed your path. You have the best jokes, the best laugh, the best smile, and most of all the best heart and that's why you are the best mother ever.

Also, I want to thank Grandma Rose for allowing me to take care of her because it gave me the experience I needed to take care of you and dad in your journey and that was a blessing for us all. I could never stop thinking about you, daddy, and Sandy. I can't say it was easy because it wasn't. However, going through it all made me into a stronger woman that our family needs to continue life without you all.

My family, the Wards …. Deepest sympathy for your mother,, Alice Ward.  She was my mother niece, which made her my cousin, but I always respected her as an aunt .  So I call her Aunt Alice, who always gave good wise counsel from the bible and encouraging kind words.  She loved laughing and cooking and always was so down to earth.  Family …she lived a good life committed to the Lord and family.  I’m sad, but I know she is home with the Lord rejoicing.  Yes he plucked the most beautiful flower; my Aunt Alice whose spirit is alive which will remain with us .  Family all my love and prayers in your bereavement.  Just know she is alive in our hearts. Momma it’s only been a few days and  I miss you so much already, I just want to reflect on a few things when I was three you taught me the children’s pray and when I was older you taught me the Lord’s pray and I still say those prayers today.  You always made me feel special in the time of need even though there were six other siblings . I will always carry you in my heart forever. Thank you Momma.

This has been a difficult year but God has kept us, protected us and let us rest in his care!
I will miss Aunt Alice. We could always look forward to any of her famous desserts.
There is peace in knowing that she is reunited with Uncle Earl and other very dear relatives .

Condolences to our family Alice will me missed by all of us  but for the work she done it will always be in our heart . Love always your cousin Vanette 

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  Aunt Alice, the wife of our Uncle Earlis Ward,  whom transitioned earlier this year, will now be reunited for eternity. May their reunion bring comfort to the family as we grieve the loss of her physical presence here on earth.

Though Aunt Alice has parted this earth, she will still be alive in our hearts and minds and through us all, she will live on.  

Alice came into the family a mere teenager (18), Earl was 21. Earl loved Alice from the start and it also ignited love from us to her. In my humble opinion, Alice was a "Superwoman", a mother of seven, a wife of one. Alice, being a stay at home mom , learned quickly to become seamstress, cook, negotiator , wife, and prayer warrior! She was a matron at Greater Bethel . Many days and evenings were spent at the church (with children and husband in tow), singing and praising God! Alice had now become a reputable cook and shared her skills with the church. Alice loved people, but really had a soft spot in her heart for children. As she worked at RJ Hendley, the kids loved her too, calling her "grandma" because she fed and always had an encouraging word for them. Alice also had a keen sense of humor, quick wit, and laughed at everything (she was a great compliment to Earl) . She loved entertaining in the name of the Lord as she shared His wisdom from on high. My Sister lived a wonderful life-full of the Joy of the Lord ! At her passing, she was the eldest mother of the church. I thank God for giving Alice to us to increase us. I pray that the Faith of Christ has led her into life everlasting, being in the presence of God forever. She deserves it! I believe it! It is so! Amen.

There are precious things in my life that I know I could count on, God's love, the sunrise, troubles WILL pass, and my Auntie Alice being sweet to me. 

I am so happy to be  in a fun-loving family that honors our elder kings and queens. So, today, I honor the life and memory of this beautiful soul.  May her memory spark smiles, laughter, and love for decades to come.

She loved God.  She loved her family and taught her children to love God.   I will remember her smile and her laugh.  Miss you already Auntie.

Even though my great grandmother is no longer with us, her influence on those around her is undeniable. She left an impression on everyone of us, providing a lesson, a support system, and a shield that will never be forgotten. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and I feel incredibly honored to share a name and birthday with this lovely lady. May she rest easy. 

Our dearest grandmother is no longer here with us but that is no reason to cry, for only her physical life has ended and her eternal life has just started. It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to mourn for that’s what all love ends in. Every hello comes with the knowledge that there will one day be a goodbye, and even though we know that all love ends in sorrow, we continue to do it. We continue to love because love is always worth it. 

Everything about Momma will be a memory of mine. Thanks for all you’ve done Momma from my birth to your passing. You will forever be in my HEART.                                                                                    Love You Momma 

Love you Grandma "sweet lady". It's hard knowing that you will no longer physically be here, but I know you will be with us in spirit. Continue to look over all of us, as we continue to be living examples of your work. Your favorite grandson🙂

Two memories that will always remain in my heart is that family foundation is and will always be important and that gratitude matters at all times. In the words of my grandma Alice "Everybody can't be like the Wards" and that is so true grandma that is so true! And...
"I sure do appreciate you all taking care of me " Grandma we wouldn't have done it any other way. The two creators of this family build a legacy that no man will ever be able to tear down! All of your hard work, love and dedication to the family will live on for many many years and I can't say thank you enough. I love you always and forever and I will miss you dearly Mother Ward.
