Ada Ruth Jackson Dent

Ada Ruth Jackson Dent was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on December 7, 2024 at the age of 74. She was born to Lula Christine and Roy Chester Jackson on November 28, 1950 in Donalsonville, GA.

After graduating high school she attended Technical school where she obtained her license to be a Beautician and later attended Palm Beach Atlantic University where she obtained her degree in Theological Studies. She was married and is the mother to 5 children: Deidre Wells, Alonzo Wells (deceased), Falisha Calhoun (Kenton Calhoun), Jo Nathan Huggins and Ebonye Huggins. She is the grandmother to Deondra Smith, Alonzo Wells III, Chaddeus Pressey, Christian Wright, Devante Wright, JoNathan Huggins Jr., Jordan Calhoun, and Micah Spencer.

She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Edwards, Fed Smith, and Roy Jackson. She had two other siblings that preceded her in death, Beatrice Jackson and Vester Lee Jackson. She has extended family including cousins, nephews (Mario Jackson and Keith Jackson) and nieces.

She was an ordained teacher in the ministry and spent most of her life serving the Lord. She was also a skilled seamstress and upholstered furniture. She loved gardening, being outdoors, volunteering for her church, and westerns. Most weekends were spent planting vegetables and handing food in the community.

A visitation for Ada will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 GREENWOOD AVE, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33407.
