Margaret Mary Pitre

Margaret “Marge” Pitre, born June 7, 1930, passed away on Saturday morning December 27, 2014 at RVHS Centenary Hospital in Scarborough in her 85th year. Margaret was the beloved wife of Edgar “Ed” for 60 years. Loving mother to Stephen (Colleen), Anne Marie Armstrong, Michael (Karen), Eileen, Carolyn, and David (Kris). Loving Grandmother of Jordan, Cole, Robert, Andrew, Eric, Emily, Sean, Julia, Brittany and Alec.

Daughter of the late Matthew and Mae Bodendistle. Dear sister of Vera Romano (Lou). Predeceased by brothers Joe, Jack, Tom and sisters Mary Bodendistle, Anne Pickett and Rita Coffey. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a faithful member of St. Thomas More Parish and Catholic Women’s League for more than 50 years. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and doctors at RVHS Centenary Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Marge with her family during visitation at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, ON (one block west of Kingston Rd.) on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Church, 2234 Ellesmere., Scarborough, ON (one block east of Markham Road) on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:00am. Internment will take place at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Ave., (Go 4.4 km East on Steeles and turn left on Reesor Rd. Entrance is off Reesor Rd.) As an expression of sympathy, donation may be made to Osteoporosis Society.
