It was an absolute shock to hear of Gary’s passing. To his family I send my deepest condolences. I had the privilege of working with Gary for the last 28 years at Guild electric on MTO projects. He was always full of life and a great sense of humour be it at work or on a golf course. RIP my friend.  

Gary Garland was a amazing man, friend, and confidant who had a great heart for all those around him.  He was always someone I could lean on. We had so many good times together. He loved his amazing daughter Melissa, this I know because he would light up whenever he talked about her, which was often.  He is someone who will be so very missed by so many people.  Poker, golfing, and those trips up to the cottage will never be the same, he was our barbeque master at the cottage, always smiling and constantly making us laugh with his great sense of humor. Gary you were the best friend anyone could ask for, I miss you, Rest In Peace, until we meet again my friend. My heart goes out to his family, may you find peace in knowing how greatly appreciated Gary was, truly a great man, his memory will live on.  

We grew up together in Scarborough.  Road hockey til the street lights came on, burby at the catholic school, baseball for 7 oaks.  You had the most heartfelt smile and laugh ever.  Herscheid, Han, Wells, heaton, feenan,, Keith Taylor....I wish I could remember everyone.......we grew up in a special place at a wonderful time.   I wish I’d had of stayed in touch....I loved those days that literally seem like yesterday.  Gary you are an awesome person who will be missed.  My condolences you your loved ones.  Take care my friend.

My deepest sympathies to the Garland family. I had the great pleasure of working with Gary for 17 years. One of the sweetest guys in the place, always had time to talk or offer his shoulder, RIP my old friend.

To Sheila, Melissa and family. I was saddened to hear of Gary’s sudden passing. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gary over the past 17 years.  Gary was always, kind, funny and helpful and to say he will be missed is an understatement. Sending my deepest sympathies to you during this difficult time. As a close friend of Gary’s for the last dozen or so years, this is truly heartbreaking.  I learned a lot from this great man!  Hard to explain how much he’ll be missed.  Sending all the love in the world to his family, friends and everyone else who feels this loss.  

To Barb and Carl, I was so sorry to hear of Gary's passing.  My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.  I have such fond childhood memories of playing with Gary and the kids on the street, especially when Gary, Chris and Derek LET me play goalie in their street hockey games.
