Mr. Philip was a great man. I was fortunate enough to know him through the game of soccer and later on even more closely when his son Joel and I went to university together. He had such a good soul. He will be missed dearly by me and my family.  May God keep his soul.

I met Dunstan over 3 decades ago through his best friend Vernon Duporte. Through Vernon, Dunstan MC our many Caribbean night events at our St Luke's Anglican church and gave us belly bursting laughter . I also met himself and wife at several fam events at Vernon's home.
Dunstan had an infectious personality. Nice smile and a sharp sense of humour. He was kind-hearted , very respectful and made everyone feel very special. We were deeply saddned to hear about his passing when Vernon 's wife Angela Duporte called. Dunstan and Angela had a special bond and Dunstan often teased her like he did so many others. I was not surprised he passed away on her birthday. He perhaps have a joke to share with Vernon about that in heaven.
To Sharon, the love of his life, his children and their family,  his siblings and extended relatives and friends, our heart felt sympathy over this loss. May his beautiful soul rest in peace. He will be forever remembered. He is not gone, God just moved him.  Those that die are not there in the physical form but remain invisible, unseen, unheard but present in spirit. This spirit will always live on and around those he meant so much to.

Dunstan was a remarkable community stalwart who lived a life dedicated to family and community upliftment. His passion for inclusive service to all is demonstrated by his wide range of community involvement. He was a champion for humanitarian causes and  has left a profound legacy of love and compassion (sprinkled with a good dose of humour) that ought to be emulated. The PBC Alumni of Toronto and Grenada send their deepest and heartfelt condolences to Sharon, Nigel, Joe and the rest of the family. Dunstan who we all knew was a leader, a teacher, a mentor and a friend of our PBC community. He was always actively engaged in our Grenada communities an was an active member of the PBC Alumni Association (Toronto) since its inception.  Dunstan was a kind and decent person,  one who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was someone that you would be proud of to call a friend. He  will me greatly missed by us all.

I worked with Dunstan until his retirement a few years ago. Some of my memories of him was that he was kind and easy to talk to. Always willing to help and to offer advise. I fondly called him Mr D. Also, he always comes up with something to make you laugh. He will be sorely missed.

Sharon, I was privileged to watch the live streaming of Dunstan's funeral. Nigel and Joey displayed strength and grace in their remembrance of their father. You must feel  great pride in hearing all the tributes that were paid to your husband. I  echo many of the sentiments expressed by friends and family. Hope you will cherish all the memories and know that your family will be ok.  God Bless you all.

Dunstan was a great person. He had that winning infectious smile. He says your name with a great commanding voice and he never passed you pretending not to see you. He would cross the street and take that extra step to truly greet you. He always had something good to say or a joke to boost you up. But what we didn't know was that we were attending an "mpromptu meeting' set up by what I know refer to you as, 'Mr Organiser'.  You wanted family across the UK and Canada to be in touch and stay in touch.  You touched me with your words that night and all I could say was, "what a nice man".  We drank a lot, shared beautiful memories of those who have past and promised to keep this going.  I'm thankful that my sister Bev had the opportunity of meeting her amazing Uncle. My thoughts are with you at this time. Charmaine and I immigrated to Canada 40 years ago around the same time from Morne Jaloux and I feel we are like family.  Dunstan made us feel welcome from that time. He always wore a smile and inquired on everyone whenever I saw him at any Grenadian event over the years. Dunstan and I met on the GIPC but quickly became friends. He was genuine in his love for family, people and country and always the first one to make room for resolution. Gosh there are soooo much memories and all good ones... Dunstans passing really hit me hard,, especially when I spoke to him before the surgery ...  giving him positive Inspiration  before going into the first scheduled surgery .... as a member of the Grenada Day Cultural Association .. HE WAS A PILLAR  ... A NEEDED ASSET FOR THE GROUP ... THAT CALM BEFORE THE STORM ... THAT LAUGHTER NEEDED TO CALM EVERYONE ... Dunstan was always joking around but at the same time could be very serious ... we all knew the difference .... he loved Sharon and the boys soooo much ... Actually he loved his whole family... I was privileged to see him and Sharon Beautiful home in Grenada .... gosh there is so much memories .. I know Dunstan is in a good place right there with his parents  ... I love him so much and will miss him .... he will forever be in my Heart .... LOVE YOU DUNSTAN

" So in spite of appearances to the contrary, I'm assured that our beloved brother and friend Dunstan Gabriel Phillip has not left us and shall always be with us radiating Love, Service and Kindness as he always has. I met the two of you at Church of the Nativity several years ago. You embraced myself and family and ensured that we were comfortable. You extended utter respect at all times. I must say that you were one of the few who have been responsible for my membership at the Church of the Nativity.
Dunstan had an infectious smile and greeted fellow Nativity brothers and sisters with love, humour and respect.
He always had encouraging words for the youths to propel them to succeed.

I have many happy memories with Dunstan but this one stands out.While he was coaching Malvern soccer we watched 3 young kids who wanted to play but doubt whether their parents could afford the fees.We decided fees should not prevent these new immigrant kids from playing so we approach another giant of Malvern Soccer , Hyacinth to talk to the parents and accept what they could afford. More than that they were directed to a place where they could get soccer shoes at a discount.We got them in.   I could go on and talk about his love and support for Grenada and West Indies cricket.Who else could get me away from my bed at 2am to go to Marilyn and Joe to watch cricket from South Africa. Dunstan was selfless and caring.We have lost a great man , but maybe not because his memories will be with us for a very long time.RIP Dunstan!

To  Sharon Nigel and Joey and extended family of Dunstan Phillip.I  offer my deepest condolences at the passing of Dunstan .He  befriended me when i first joined the church of the Nativity  making me feel welcomed and comfortable. My condolences to the Philip family. I first met Dunstan while he was on a one day cruise to  Barbados. It was a pleasure getting to meet and know him for that short period of time. Then in 2015 we met again at a family reunion in Grenada where we connected more. You will be missed. Rest in peace  and rise in Eternal Glory.

Well, Uncle Dunstan has been a light and a beacon in my life and in my family. When things went wrong he would be there we he can and help us work things out. He was a support and somewhat a best friend to mother and I thank God for his support to her. He has been a loving uncle towards me and Im really sorry and now regretting that I can't be there to say good bye. One of my memories that I can't forget is that when he and his brothers meet and the see a long lost friend they will always say afterwards, "That man issa blowhard". I would laugh on the inside and know they were happy. Also I remember when we slept at their new home here in Grenada. I enjoyed each day I spent there...he was such a welcoming person and his presence I will miss greatly. To Aunty Sharon, don't weep..if he knew God, you know he is definitely in a place of no suffering. May his soul rest in peace. Love you uncle✨..Fly high and may God watch over your soul. Amen.

My "Uncle Gabriel" I give God thanks for your purposed soul and for the peace and joy you shared. I've known that gentle giant of a human being for many years through my mom who knew his mom and siblings to being part of the PBC Toronto Alumni and finally Grenada Day Cultural Association and the Boca Toronto Support Group.  Once he's around everyone knows because you'll hear loud laughs or people start doing their jobs better. He was a people person and always look out for others over and above himself. There wasn't a time when I  was at a Grenada Day Festival or Boca Toronto picnic where Dunstan didn't make sure I had something to eat or I'm getting a big plate handed to me even if he has to do without. I'll miss your sense of responsibility and dedication Dunstan and I can humbly say that Heaven got a major part of a puzzle that the entire Grenadian diaspora and all those who knew you would like to retain but God knows best. From my family especially my wife and kids who you always make sure had something to eat and drink at the Boca Toronto family picnics we extend our condolences to the family and friends. Sleep in perfect peace Dunstan you've left a mark on all who knew you  and shared in your life.

Such a humble soul. Intelligent in wisdom and integrity.  Your last words would always remain with me. Knowing you was a great joy.

You could always count on the gentle smile, humour and strength of Dunstan Phillip.  It was a privilege to be included in his family circle and to witness the way he knitted community, family, business and faith so seamlessly. His commitment to his boys and his culture were a personal inspiration for me, and I am thankful for the joy and wisdom which he both shared and lived each day.
