Peacefully in his sleep, Doug, “Mr. Passmore”, has entered paradise in his 76th year. He was an honorable son to Doug (a.k.a Jim) and May. A devoted husband to Joan. Amazing father to Dawn (Steve) and Graham (Sarah). Dedicated grandfather to Matthew (Bri), Carter, Danika and Amaiya. Loving great-grandfather to Summer. A heroic brother to the late Dennis and John. The coolest uncle to many nieces and nephews. A loyal friend to the Johnston’s, the Davidge’s, the McCreight’s and many more.
Douglas was always the first person to lend a hand and could always be counted on in a TDSB classroom or in the driver’s seat of the car driving to hockey or the cottage. Doug was also initiated into the Master Mason’s Lodge in first degree as an entered apprentice. (St. Andrew’s #16)

As I fly up to heaven with a horseshoe in hand
My memories held tight as I journey to new land.
I’ll never forget you and you won’t forget me
I’m in a good place and curling at peace.
Don’t be sad, instead when you hear my name
I’ll be on the couch, watching the game.
This is not good-bye, we’ll meet again one day
When that time comes, I’ll show you the way.
