The family of Dorothy Elsie Murphy is saddened to announce her passing at the age of 91 on September 23, 2023.
She is predeceased by her husband Howard, married for 33 years, and their children Glenn Paul Murphy and Lynda Ann Shaw. She leaves behind many who loved her, including her 4 grandchildren, Jason (Christie), Teresa (Mark), Keri-Dawn (Josh), and James (Jenn), and 9 great grandchildren.
We'd like to thank Dorothy's lifelong friend Edye, and long time neighbours Sean & Yolanda for their friendships, and generous efforts in maintaining Dorothy's independence over the last few years. As well, we'd like to thank the staff at McCowan Retirement Residence, and Scarborough General Hospital Palliative Care for taking such great care of Dorothy the last 6 months.
