Cristino Jesus Balin

Cristino Jesus ‘Boyet” Santos Balin, of Scarborough, Ontario, surrounded by his family on October 29, 2015 at 12:50 pm at the Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital in Scarborough, passed away peacefully after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 62.

He was born on June 4, 1953 in Manila, Philippines. On August 4, 1973, he married the love of his life, Maria Nimfa Aguilar. Together they built a home and was blessed with three children. Cristino loved baseball (go Blue Jays), enjoyed watching movies, cooking, gardening, cleaning his car and above all spending time with his grand kids.

The last 20 years of his life, Cristino worked at FedEx and gained an extended family of friends. He was a model worker and a true professional receiving numerous awards during his time there. You can always count on him to give his 110% in everything he did. Cristino was an extremely loving husband and a proud father, he leaves behind his wife Maria, their children Candice, Claire , Christopher, and their grandchildren Ryan, CJ, Caelan, Lily, and Jana.

Cristino may have passed away, but he will forever stay in our hearts and in our memories. He will always be remembered as a good son, a loving husband, a caring father and grandfather “Papa” and a beloved friend to all of us.
