Catherine Consetta Prevost

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine Consetta Prevost, on March 19, 2025, at the age of 69. Catherine was born February 21, 1956, and led a full life of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends.

Catherine leaves behind her devoted spouse, Robert Geeves, and her cherished daughters, Marcie Chambers (Gary), Kelly Prevost (James Baird), and Michelle Geeves – Van Rooi (Sherwin). Proud Godmother to Adam Oake. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Summer, Kelly, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Hunter, Phoenix, and Rebecca, as well as five great-grandchildren. Her siblings Joseph Durbano and Deborah Quirion, along with her extended family including many nieces, nephews, and loved ones, will deeply miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and May Durbano, her siblings, Bonnie Valley and John Durbano and her beloved son, Lance Cooper.

Throughout her life, Catherine was a passionate and caring soul, devoted to her family, nature and her community. She worked for 25 years as a school bus driver, where she touched the lives of countless children, always with a smile and a kind word. Catherine had a special love for animals and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially on nature walks near the bluffs. Her summers spent at the trailer and her love for Wasaga Beach were some of her happiest moments. Catherine shared countless family gatherings filled with games, laughter, and love.

Known for her sense of humor and infectious laughter, Catherine had a gift for making others smile. She loved dancing and karaoke, always bringing joy and energy to any room she entered. Her giving nature and warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, located 4115 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1E 2S2, on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 12:00 pm, and followed by a chapel service at 1:00 pm.

Catherine will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth she gave so freely throughout her life.
