Daughter of Frank and Marie (Pritchard) McDonald. Predeceased by the love of her life, James Martin Redford. Mother to Chris (Katie), Janice (Richard) and Craig. Grandmother to Nathan (Brittany), Benjamin (Jessica), Jacob (Caitlyn), Aidan (McKenzie), Owen (Stephanie) and Hannah (Jeffrey). Sister to Dave (Margaret), Marnie (Wayne) and Paul (Susan). Sister-in-law to Jean, Leonard (Valerie), Kathy (Jim), Don (Jackie), Tom (Sue) and too many nieces and nephews to list.
Ann loved her family fiercely, was friendly to a fault, warm, welcoming and always had a good story to tell you over and over again. She never missed an opportunity to tell you about her trips to Switzerland with her girl guides, stories about the schools she worked at, spending her winters in Florida, Summers at the trailer in Parry Sound and memories of Catholic school pranks she would pull on the Nuns. Ann was unreasonably stubborn, so we are all taking comfort in knowing that she only died because she decided she would and anyone that knew her will understand this. She fought and won the battle against flesh eating disease, breast cancer, COPD and the unbearable loneliness of this pandemic, so nobody was taking her before she was ready.
She was the centre of our world and INSISTED on being so.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
