Alexander was a honored WWII Veteran - Navy Seabee's Division and Retired Sergeant Detective Boston Police Department 1952-1987. He spoke of those times with great pride as he shared stories with his family.
He was the husband of the late Anna F. (Donovan) and loving partner of Susan Thomas. Alexander was the devoted father of Gaetano Savioli of Ocean Park, WA and the late Alexander M. Savioli Jr. and his surviving wife Jayne (Nisbet) Savioli of Hudson, MA. He was the loving Grandfather of Joseph J. and wife Lauren of Westford, MA and Alexander M. III and his wife Laura of Hudson, NH. Adored and loving Great-Grandfather of Giuliana, Tatum and Lola. He was the loving Godfather of Angela (Savioli) Reardon. He was predeceased by his sister Jean Reynolds and Brother Cosmo Savioli.
Over his lifetime he was involved in several memberships, including: The Knights of Columbus; Massachusetts Association of Italian Police Officers (Sergeant Detective Boston Police Dept.).; Life Member Veterans of Foreign Wars of United States, Post 8607, Chatham MA, including helping to build their bocce court and renovating their play area; Moose Lodge 1782, Naples, FL.; and a part of the Holy Trinity Church Community.
Alexander enjoyed winters in Florida and summers on Cape Cod where he spent his time gardening and clamming. He particularly enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family, especially his 3 Great-Granddaughters. He was lucky to spend several summers at the annual Thomas family reunion up in Lake Winnipesaukee. He will be greatly missed at the Pars where he was an avid bocce player and spent many Thursday afternoons under the canopy with the guys. He also enjoyed Saturday gatherings at the Moose Lodge. Some favorite memories included big family dinners around the table in his beloved Cape Cod home. He was known for always making the table full with laughter and love and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
