Thomas Jerome Duff

Thomas Jerome (Jerry) Duff of Lenexa, Kansas and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa passed away peacefully in Hospice Care on April 11, 2021 in the loving arms of his wife Judith. Jerry was born in Des Moines and grew up in the Beaverdale area where he attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Degree from Drake University. Upon graduation he served in the National Guard and then began his career with the Social Security Administration. After several years in Des Moines, he transferred to Omaha, Nebraska, St. Joseph, Missouri and then to Kansas City where he continued his government work until retirement in 2005.

On March 11, 2000, he married Judith Matthews of Lenexa, Kansas.

Jerry and his ex-wife Karen (Bonanno) raised two children, a son Paul and a daughter Annie, both still living the in the Kansas City area. Jerry loved fishing, pheasant hunting, boating, traveling and a good glass of wine. He was always ready with a smile, a warm hug and a great conversation when he would get together with others.

Survivors include his loving wife Judith; his two children Paul (Karen) Duff of Overland Park, Kansas and Annie Duff of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother Pat Duff of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren Conner, Camren, Alex and Ayrik and great grandchild Ryker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cyril and Leona Duff and brother Mike Duff.
