David John Kaufman, 71, passed away on Easter morning April 17, 2022.
David was born November 27, 1950, to Ted and Mary Arlene Kaufman in Des Moines. At Des Moines Technical High School, he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football and graduated from Tech High in 1969. He then went on to serve in the United States Army Military Police in Germany. Following his military service, he began his career in the construction industry and was a talented carpenter. In addition to Des Moines, he lived and worked many years in Denver, Evergreen, and Pueblo, Colorado.
David loved sports and in particular the Denver Broncos. He loved to have a good time and make people laugh. His children remember that he loved to fish and had a love for animals. David was one of a kind.
David is survived by his three children, Cody (Kaylynn), Kelly (Shawn), and Casey (Lindsay); and seven grandchildren, Michelle, Mason, Alaric, Korey, Taylor, Brooke and Destiny. He also leaves one sister, Joanna Kaufman Wingfield; and two brothers, Phil (Charlotte) and Ben (Sherie).
