Choon Im Song

Choon Im Song was born on February 15, 1938 in Im-Sil, South Korea to Sung Kum Pak and Soon Duk Yang. She and her husband, Byung Duk, were married in 1957. Her joys included gardening, cooking, and enjoying time with family. She and her husband were regulars at Nut Pob restaurant on the southside.

She is survived by her four children, Eun Sup (Kyong Ae) Song, Kung Sup (Sun) Song, Amy (Robert) Kientz, and Il Sup (Helen) Song; nine grandchildren, Gina (Daniel Kim), Minge, Autum, Minsu, Hannah (Zach Hoyle), Alex, Mina, Mariah, Yuna; and one great-grandchild, Isaac. She is preceded in death by her parents, elder siblings, and husband.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at UnityPoint Health- Lutheran, as well as the hospice staff from EveryStep Kavanagh House, whose response, care, and compassion during a difficult time were very much appreciated.
