Amy Ann Wright, 54, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with a private family burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Amy was born February 15, 1963 in Des Moines, IA to Dalles and Jean (Beck) Schroeder. She was a 1981 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines and received her BA Degree in Marketing from Iowa State University in 1986. Her professional background was in human resources and recruiting but she was primarily a stay-at-home mom. Her greatest love was for her family, especially her kids.
Amy was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, enjoyed beaches, swimming and water activities, horseback riding, attending her children’s activities, and animals, especially dogs and horses.
She is survived by her husband, Michael of Urbandale; father, Dalles Schroeder of Waukee; two children, Alexander and Lauren of Urbandale; and her brother, Mark Schroeder of Westchester, PA. Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Jean and brother, Craig.
