I loved  on my grandfather while he was here. There’s not one notable holiday or event that I didn’t get to spend with him in the last 11 years.   My children and I frequently stopped by and added joy to his life. He said our presence made a what would have been a mundane day a very special one and was always glad we  did not forget about him.  While he was here I spoke life in him, cherished him, honored him, gifted him, and thanked him. Therefore, I do not have much to say here. 
Grandaddy was a wonderful man while he was here, he added so much love and joy to people even on his saddest days. So many times i saw him cry, wipe his eyes and then go put a smile on a strangers face. There is nothing fake about him  He loved and showed love with no motive or agenda and he operated in the trueness of forgiveness  and unconditional love that most of us have never seen outside of what we read in the bible. He was a REAL man in every sense of the word.  I know it was God who ensured that he was my grandfather. After his life served the Lord’s will he now is in heaven with his beautiful mother enjoying the freshest walnuts and cherry pie.  Our bond is unbreakable💜 PRAISE GOD REJOICE FOR HE HAS MOVED ON TO A PLACE OF NO SUFFERING! PRAISE GOD BECAUSE HIS PLANS ARE PERFECT ALWAYS!!

What can I say about the man who showed me how a man is supposed to love? This man accepted me and my children with no strings attached. You will always be missed Papa Reed!!

I was dreading writing this message because I truly hoped, like many of us, that I would wake up and this was just a bad dream. It’s a reality, so here it FINALLY goes: 

First off, Grandaddy brought life into the room as soon as he stepped in it. You can always count on him to make you laugh, smile, and bring joy to your day. I loved how clear it was that he was living his life to the fullest because it was almost as if the older he got, the younger. One thing was for certain though, his wisdom spoke volumes that would silence the room he was speaking in. The only time I seen such a playful man become serious. 

I’ll always remember the random knowledge, that contagious laugh, and irreplaceable spirit. Thank you grand daddy for all that you’ve done and thank you to the man above for blessing me with YOU. Love you always 💕

Uncle Reed I'm at a loss for words right now. I just want to thank you for always looking out for my son and making sure he was on the right path. I'm definitely gonna miss the love and wisdom you have shown to all the people you cared about. You were an amazing human being and will be missed greatly.  Now you can pull up at heavens gates bumping your favorite song. Love you uncle Reed you will forever be in our hearts 💕

Dear Granddaddy,
I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you, even though you would say”don’t worry about it grand baby”. I still wish you could have seen me now. To hug me and give me a kiss and tell me it’s going to be okay. I know your in a better place now, even though I hate when people say that too me. Smh, but I love you granddaddy!!!

Granddaddy 🩵 
This is hard. You were genuinely the light of my childhood & life. From hearing you say “hey baby!” every time you greeted me, to “capeesh?” or “comprende?” at the end of all your words of wisdom, I’ve always felt a sense of comfort & love every time we had our talks. & that laugh! A laugh you could never forget cause it always made you laugh too 😂. I thank you so much for being there for me, for being the greatest grandpa a little girl could ever ask for. I thank God you were able to witness me grow into the young woman I am today & that I was able to see you, talk to you, hug you & love you one more time before you left us. I’m going to miss you so so much granddaddy, I love you dearly.

My dear husband. I sit here crying because you are no longer by my side.  But you will ALWAYS be in my heart and my memories. From that first day that we met when we 22 years old, you never left my heart or my mind. I thank God for blessing us to be married for 29 years, 10 months and 3 weeks. I miss you terribly. Thank you for the joy, laughter and support that you brought to all those who knew you.
