Victor Manuel Morales, age 61, entered Our Lord’s Kingdom on Sunday February 14th 2021. Victor is survived by his wife of 34 years Maria Rafaela Morales and eight children. Flor (Saul) Rodriguez, Hector (Claudia) Reyna, Eric Reyna, Isela (Carlos) Cuellar, Victor (Yesenia) Morales, Patricia (Jose) Salazar, Julian (Gabriela) Morales, and Dylan Morales. He is preceded in death by his grandson Victor Miguel Morales and Guadalupe Vallejo-Morales, his mother.
Victor Morales was born on July 4th 1959 in San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato Mexico to Jose and Guadalupe Morales. Mostly raised by his grandmother, Casimira Espinoza, Victor had no formal education but began working at the age of 8. He began working to provide for his family by initially selling gums and then gained the confidence of a produce vendor to buy produce for him at a market to resell. Victor was such an honest employee that at his young age, he would haggle the market sellers to get the best price for the produce for his employer and even bring back the change to him.
In search of the American Dream, Victor came to the United States at the age of 17 and began to work in agriculture and construction. He worked primarily in Alabama, and eventually, being more ambitious and wanting more for his family, he was able to obtain his CDL License in 2002. He learned to speak and write English on his own in order to achieve his dreams. In 2012, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States and was proud to achieve this. Such a fitting accomplishment for someone who was born on the 4th of July and was able to live the American Dream.
Victor is remembered by so many in many wonderful stories and experiences which is a testament to his faith in Our Savior Jesus Christ and God Almighty. He knew that through this faith, all could be accomplished and in his savior’s name. He gave his life to his faith in God and through this he exemplified the teachings of Christ as he respected and loved everyone and everything.
Known for his honesty, unyielding love, kindness, patience, wisdom, hard working ethic, Victor led by example. He lived an amazing life being able to travel through his work and see all 50 states. He’d share all his amazing travels through pictures and even Social Media. Snapchat was his favorite. He’d Snap everything from snow, mountains, sunrises, sunsets, city signs, walks through the park and even when he was hospitalized, he was still “Snapping”. The love for Christ, his wife and his children were everything to him. At 3 AM on Sunday Morning, Victor made one last call to the love of his life, Rafi’s as
he would call her, and wish her Happy Valentine’s Day. One last selfless act of love before the Lord
called upon him.
