Bertha Bettina Loven, age 79, of Edinburg, Texas passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. Bertha was born on July 27, 1944 in Hebbronville, Texas to Alvin Loven and Rosita Galvan.

Bertha is survived by her children Cynthia Acosta, Judith Marie Vela, Gloria Lamar Ruiz, Sophia Dolores Martinez, Bettina Rosita Guajardo, Justo Jose Vela Jr. and Sandra Jean Canales, she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved western movies, dancing, her favorite song was Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, her favorite show was Murder She Wrote, and she loved playing cards with her family. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Bertha will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78599. A chapel service will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX, followed by the interment at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX.
