A daughter of Mexican immigrants, Alicia grew up in rural South Texas and attended Pan American University, where she studied to become a registered nurse. She liked to draw and loved watching classic films and enjoying nature.
Alicia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Pola Medrano; and her siblings, Jose Medrano, Francisco Medrano, Maximino Medrano, Geronimo Medrano, Herminia Moreno, Teofila Almanza, Jesus Medrano, Consuelo Medrano, Maria Moreno, and Petra Medrano.
She is survived by her three children, Melissa Arjona, David Arjona, and Denni Arjona; her grandson, Matthew James Arjona; her ex-husband, Erasmo Arjona; and her siblings, Teodoro Medrano, Jose Angel Medrano, Felipa Perez, Enrique Medrano, Dalia Medrano, Maria de Jesus Rivera and Petra Guerra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
Family will receive friends Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 3 pm to 10 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am, Monday, June 12, 2023 at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
