William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Wilkinson Carter, his daughters, Susan Sanders and Joan Perdue Gann, his parents, William Nicholas Carter, Sr and Zola Sheumaker Carter, his sister, Mary McLean.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dawn Rodrigue and husband, Dennett; eight grandchildren, Chris Perdue (Cammie), Kelly Perdue, Krystal Perdue, Rachel Gauthier, Casey Gauthier Butler (Tanara), Neil Sanders (Terri), and Hannah Fruge; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 in the Chapel at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh with Rev. Dennett Rodrigue officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh.
