Julian Emery Saulnier

He was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. He was past state president of the Louisiana Restaurant Assoc. as well as the Local Lake Charles Chapter he was also owner and operator of Emery Restaurant for 30 years. He was a past scout master in Welsh for Troop 29. He was a past member of the Rotary Club in Welsh and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Corine Saulnier, a brother, Donald Saulnier; 3 sisters, Theresa McCann, Juliette Hicks and Dorothy Fontenot.

He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Saulnier of Welsh; sons, Greg Saulnier and wife, Diane of Welsh, Bill Saulnier and wife, Marla of Welsh; daughter, Gayle Trahan and husband, Ronnie of Lafayette; sister, Agnes Marie Johnson and husband, Albert; grandchildren, Jennifer T. Gerard, Robyn T. Avant, Natalie T Walker, Aaron Saulnier and Charlie Saulnier; 14 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 2pm, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Visitation will begin Wednesday, 5pm-9pm with a wake service at 6:30pm and a rosary at 7pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will resume Thursday 8am until service time.
