Ella Mae Broussard

Ella Mae was born August 11, 1932, to Ovelian and Amy (Cormier) Mott. She worked as an aide at Welsh Hospital which is now Golden Age of Welsh, where she resided for the last 8 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading magazines, baking, and watching the Food Channel.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, J’deana B. Meche; three grandchildren, Jody M. Broussard, Joshua C. Daniel, and Amy R. Bourque (Darren); four great-grandchildren, Tanner, Bailey, Mason, and Mackenzie Daniel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dallas “JD” Broussard; her son, Darrell Broussard; her parents; two brothers, R.A and Wilson Mott; and one granddaughter, Lauren Daniel.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Welsh with Rev. Pat Deshotel officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am until the time of the memorial service.

Cremation entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh.
