Daniel was finally reunited with his dad on November 18, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Hayes and a 2006 graduate of Bell City High School. Daniel was very proud to have worked overnight at Wal-Mart #386 for 10 years before his health declined. He loved old-school music and movies, video games, and good food. The only thing Dan loved more than his Ninja Turtles gear and a code red Mountain Dew, was his family. He loved to reminisce about the holidays, when everyone would come together. Home was wherever his brother was; he liked to tease about being older, but he knew who was boss.
Dan was a living miracle and fought hard to live his life on his own terms. He defied every expectation when faced with a new debilitating health challenge. His eyes stayed kind, and when he began to struggle with communicating, he’d signal a thumbs up to convey all was good, he was content. He used every opportunity to tell his family he was thankful for them and loved them. They take comfort in knowing he felt safe, cared for, and loved. He continues to be a living miracle, as Dan was an organ donor.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Daniel L Poole; nephew, Timothy Daniel; paternal grandparents Dudley and Azena Poole; maternal grandparents, Leo and Lucie Guidry; uncles Michael G. Poole and Malcolm Poole.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Michael Poole (Kristi) of Welsh, and Garrick Poole (Chenoa) of Hayes, and his sister, Brandi Folse (Brian) of Bell City. His nieces, Brooke Poole (Kari) and Jennifer Poole (Caleb), Celeste Roberts (Jack) and Simone Folse; Godchild and nephews, Braiden Folse and Mikie & Gabe; mother, Karen LeBlanc (Rod); and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles that he loved dearly.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his siblings ask that a seed of goodness be sown in Dan’s honor.
