Sharon "Momma Sherry" Rae Smith

Sharon “Momma Sherry” Rae Smith, 78, of Seabrook, passed away 12/23/2021. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on 10/29/1943 to John W. Phillips and Ellen Blampede. At the age of 8 years old, Sherry was adopted by her father, Malcolm Wayne MacDonald. She was married to Forrest Don Smith for 40 years. Sherry had a career in Banking & Insurance for 30 years, ending her career retiring from Spartan Insurance.

Sherry loved her friends and enjoyed family gatherings, travel, gambling, musicals and music in general. She held a special place in her heart for her children and her grand dog, Hailee.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Forrest Don Smith, her biological father; John W. Phillips, her mother; Ellen G. Blampede, and her Daddy; Malcolm W. MacDonald.

Sherry is survived by her son; Sheldon W. Smith and wife Gloria Smith, son; Shannon Monroe Smith, daughter; Shonda Gay Smith, granddaughter; Nicole D Cella and husband Michael Cella, great grandson; Jonathan Cella, great grandson; Jake Cella, and her beloved grand dog; Hailee Smith.

A visitation for Momma Sherry will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A reception will occur Friday, December 31, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
