Priscilla Elise McNally, 92, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on March 18, 2022. Priscilla, who preferred to be called “Pree,” was born on August 28, 1929 in Mineola, New York to Patrick and Elizabeth Kane. She lived in Hempstead, Long Island and attended Hempstead High School graduating in 1947. There, she met her beloved husband, George.
Pree worked as a secretary for 2 years until her marriage on August 20, 1949 after which she did not work outside the home. George and Pree lived in Long Island, NY, Houston, TX, Huntington Beach, CA, Wimberley, TX and then moved for the final time to Friendswood, TX to be closer to their family.
Pree was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She sent cards to her loved ones around the country for birthdays, milestones, and of course, St. Patrick’s Day. She stayed in touch with friends from every chapter of her life by phone and email. Pree loved country music, especially the songs by George Strait. She liked to knit and made countless beanie hats for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and an orphanage in Romania. After George passed in 2000, Pree looked forward to visits with family and friends and worked to learn whatever technology was needed to keep in touch with her grandchildren and ultimately her 7 great grandchildren.
While she was preceded in death by many and survived by few, she will be missed greatly by those who she’s left behind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Elizabeth Kane, her husband George, brothers and sisters-in-law Ernest & Marge, Owen & Blanche, Ed & Julia, Donald & Marion, Charles & Betty, Marianne, Mary Lou, numerous nieces and nephews and cousin, Charles Ricklin. She is survived by brother-in-law William McNally and wife Jeanie, her son Kenneth & wife Carol, her daughter Cheryl May & husband Ken, grandchildren Karen & husband Chris, Kevin & wife Kari, great-grandchildren Chloe, Evangeline, Lucas, Asher, Paxton, Kelsey, and Owen and cousin Barbara Ricklin.
