Paul Samuel Patterson

Paul was born in New Jersey in 1943 to parents Dr. Samuel L Patterson and Anne Howey Patterson. He graduated from high school in New Jersey in 1961. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1968 where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann, and married her in 1964. In 1966, their only child, Paul Patterson II, was born.

Paul continued his education at the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1971. Immediately upon graduation, he secured a job as Operations Manager at a small dental manufacturing company in Houston through 1977.

In 1977, he joined the United States Postal Service, where he worked his way up through the ranks, eventually retiring in 2009 as Station Manager at Albert Thomas Post Office in Clear Lake City.

Paul always had a zest for life. He and Mary Ann loved to travel, visit casinos, and were usually surrounded by friends.

His huge heart was demonstrated through his service to our country, and his service to our communities through the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the multitude of educational events he was “voluntold” to assist with by Mary Ann.

Paul was preceded in death by his precious wife, Mary Ann Patterson, and his brother Cole Patterson.

He is survived by his son Paul and daughter-in-law Beckie; grandchildren Maddie (Jorge), Julie (Tim), Ryan, Cory (Trish), Maylan (Keaton); great grandchild Dean and his brother Michael Patterson.

The family is thankful that he had a peaceful passing in his short fight with cancer.

The family will receive guests for Paul will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77017.

A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 8150 Park Place Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77017.

A committal service will occur Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
