Linda was born on April 16, 1957, in El Campo, TX. She was raised in Galveston, TX, where she graduated from O'Connell High School. Linda resided in Houston the remainder of her adult life.
Some of Linda's favorite hobbies included BBQ cook-offs, shopping, spending lots of time with her grandchildren, camping, and of course, she loved her Houston Texans.
Linda is survived by her significant other Johnny Garcia; children Robert "Eric" Serrato (Sara), Heather Lynn Serrato (Sammy); parents Jose "Wally" and Esther Garcia; sisters Sylvia Gonzalez (Vic), Lisa Salazar (Tony); grandchildren Aidan, Gaby, Freddy, Dominic, Faith, Jazmin, and Little Marcus; nieces Desiree, Lyndsey, Mary, and Megan; nephew Stephen. Linda is also cherished by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Linda's life will live forever in the hearts of every person's life she touched.
Pallbearers are Robert "Eric" Serrato, Sammy Garcia, Vic Gonzalez, Tony Salazar, Jesse Garcia, Brian Garcia, Marcus Garcia, and Richard Aguilar.
Linda's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Memorial Hermann for the wonderful care, attention, and patience during this difficult and unexpected time.
Visitation will be held Thursday February 28, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 01, 2013 at Forest Park East Cemetery.
