Mrs. Sarah Kathleen “Kathy” Milner passed peacefully in her sleep at her home on September 14, 2023, in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 72. Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry Milner; her sons Chad, Kevin, and Michael Milner; her sister Betty Woodall; and her grandchildren Chloe, Ian, Layla, and Lexi Milner.
Kathy was born in Denton, Texas, on July 16, 1951, and she was raised by her wonderful parents J.C. and Jane Petty. Her kind and loving nature that would define her life began early in high school when she worked as a “candy striper”, a volunteer at a hospital. It is this path that allowed her to first meet and later reconnect with the love of her life, Larry. Kathy and Larry got married on April 12, 1980, and soon settled in Pasadena where they would raise their three sons and spend the rest of their lives together.
In 1991 the Milner family welcomed a foreign exchange student, Ilka, and for the next year Kathy happily dubbed Ilka the daughter she always wanted, and it was a bond she cherished and kept for the rest of her life.
Kathy made many lifelong friends and accomplishments, but she would happily tell you that the greatest joy in her life was being called “Bammy” by her four grandchildren for the past 18 years. She looked forward to every moment she got to spend with them, and she brought them just as much happiness as they brought her. She leaves behind decades of loving memories for all those who were lucky enough to know her, and she will truly be missed.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ForestParkEast-FHC.com for the Milner family.
