Homer Mahlon "Bud" Frazier, Jr., 99, of League City, TX passed away July 9, 2024. He was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1925 to Homer Mahlon Frazier and Margaret Jefferies Frazier. He was married to Mary Jean for 62 years before her passing in 2011.
Homer served during WWII in the Army Air Corps from November 1944 to September 1946. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion post 0490 in Friendswood, TX.
After the service, Homer began a lifelong career in retail. In 1971 he accepted a position as general manager of Foley's Department Store at Almeda Mall in Houston, TX which he held until his retirement in 1990.
Hobbies included playing pool and deer hunting but his life time passion was golf. He was fortunate to be able to play until the age of 92 and professed to having achieved 4 holes in one!
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Margaret Frazier; wife Mary Jean, and sister Betty Jane.
Homer is survived by his 4 children Luann (Vinny Bernazzani) Frazier, Homer (Kim) Frazier III, Susan Baker and John (Nathalie) Frazier and niece Leslie (Rand) Edwards. He is also survived by grandchildren Zachary (Amanda) Baker, Merissa (Danny) Hollingsworth, Louis (Taylor) Baker, Jack Frazier, Josie Frazier, Christina (Steven) Wibowo, and Danny Traylor and great-grandchildren Van Baker, Charlie Baker, Myles Baker, Cayden Hollingsworth, Mac Hollingsworth, Jaxon Hollingsworth, Stiles Baker and Harlen Baker.
Donations can be made in his name to the American Legion Post 0490 and the VFW.
A date for Celebration of Life is to be determined.
