Harold Otto Kuebler

Harold Otto Kuebler, of Deer Park, Texas was active in bowling, fishing and golf. Harold has gone home to his Lord and Savior at age 94 on the 19th day of December in the year 2020. Harold was born September 27th, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Otto and Margurate Kuebler. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Ruth Patterson Kuebler of Taft, Texas. Harold is survived by his wife, Darlene Stutzman-Kuebler of Deer Park, Texas; his brother, Carl R. Kuebler of Portland, Maine; son, Richard Kuebler and his wife, Paula of Houston, Texas; daughter, Karen Kuebler Collins and her husband, Robert Collins of Corpus Christi, Texas; and 4 step children, Judy, Karen, Joette and John. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Van Jeffrey Kuebler and his wife, Kim of Deer Park, Texas, Richard Todd Kuebler and his wife, Mary of Spring, Texas, Kris Collins and his wife, Courtney of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tim Collins and his wife, Leslie of Austin, Texas, Courtney Collins Dowley and her husband, Tyler of Corpus Christi, Texas; and 7 step grandchildren. In addition, 14 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces. Harold served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was assigned as a tail gunner in the PBM Seaplane stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was an Aviation Ordinanceman 2c. His mission was searching for enemy submarines in the Gulf of Mexico. Harold was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1945. He loved to go to baseball games, the Corpus Christi Hooks and Houston Astros were his favorites. Harold was honored by the Astros during a game for his military service. Harold was a Master Machinist and Tool & Die Maker. While working in Civil Service, he was sent to California to machine specific parts for the Atlas Rocket. The next launch of that rocket was a success.
