Chuck was born and raised in Ohio with four siblings. He joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and spent 22 years serving his country. This included his time in combat in Vietnam. After leaving the military he spent the remainder of his career working with the space program as a flight engineer for the Super Guppy. He retired with over 40 years of government service.
Chuck is survived by his wife Michele, and his children Michael, Nathalie and Pete.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Chuck had an amazing life, though he would not say so, and saw a lot of the world. He loved to work on projects. Whether it was woodworking in his garage, or repairing an engine in a car, there were few things he could not build or repair. He took great pride in a job well done. But he would tell you his greatest accomplishment was being a father, Papa and Great Papa to his family. He was a patriarch to all of his children and their children. He loved them all unconditionally and he always welcomed them home.
A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. An inurnment will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
There will be a gathering afterward at his home.
